The Need for Speed is a 1994 racing video game first released on the 3DO and then ported to MS-DOS, Windows, PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It is the first installment released in the Need for Speed series. The premise of the game involves racing in sport cars, including several exotic models and Japanese imports.

How to play on Windows

Download the software called DOSBox and put a shortcut for DOSBox onto your desktop.
Download and extract The_Need_for_Speed_DOS_RIP_EN.zip
Open the “The Need for Speed (1994)” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
Drag the file called “TNFS” on top of the DOSBox icon. The game should now launch in DOSBox.
