How to play on Windows:
- Download “Zoo_Tycoon_2_Ultimate_Collection_Win_EN.7z” from the link above.
- Open the downloaded .zip file and extract the “Zoo_Tycoon_2_Ultimate_Collection_Win_EN” folder to your desktop. You will need to use a software such as WinRAR to do this.
- Open the extracted “Zoo_Tycoon_2_Ultimate_Collection_Win_EN” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
- Double click on the file called “zt.exe”. Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection should now launch.

For anyone still having problems with DLC content showing up, check the folders inside the DLC folder with a bunch of numbers- each should have one of the DLC files in it, a Z2F file. Take these out of their individual files and move them directly into the Game Files folder, then launch the game. This fixed the issue for me.
I’m encountering an error I can’t seem to find anyone else mentioning so would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
Following the steps in the “how to” section above I can get as far as launching “zt.exe” but then encounter the error message: “Zoo Tycoon 2 was unable to create a graphics render. Please contact your graphic card vendor to make sure you have the latest driver”.
My drivers are all up to date and I really can’t find anything else to go on to fix this issue.
