When I clicked the file “zt” or “start up”, it said : ” The code execution cannot proceed because D3DX9_32DLL was not found”. How can I fix this ? Please help me, thanks for reading

You probably have to install DirectX9.
I won’t give you a direct link (you should not click on a random link on the internet) but Google something link “DirectX 9 install Windows 10” should help you.

where and how to get the tanks
I found that a lot of the expansion files on mine were still compressed. So you may have to look in the files to see if they are compressed and extract them individually, so the game can access them
Downloaded & followed all instructions here, was able to get the game to load up properly, but on startup it looks like it’s only the base game without any of the expansions. Anyone have this happen to them and know how to fix? Thanks!
Does anyone know a mod or something to fix the stars? And is there any way i can get the downloadable game from the version i played?
Ive finally gotten the download worked out but the terrain is all black has anyone an idea for a fix for that?
I also had the same issue, I deleted the files from my desktop and redid the setup from my downloads again. After opening up the game again it was fixed!
For anyone having trouble with tanks: This is an issue that comes from copying the files onto another machine, but there is a fix. This post describes how to fix it and links to a fix: https://thezt2roundtable.com/tank-buttons-missing-t7984.html#p573045. Stick the file in your game directory (the same folder with ZT.exe) and tanks will work again. Worked for me.

Just adding here that this is great, however, as some others have stated, you cant actually build any of the Marine exhibits or filters, etc. Also, none of the marine biomes are available.
How did you download the game? I’ve been trying to download the game for weeks now and nothing works for me, even downgraded to Win10 to play this game… wen I download it from this platform it doesnt even download the game, just something called Wizard once i extract the folder. There is nothing about Zoo Tycoon. Would really appreciate your help!
I tried to dwonload it again and it works fine until setp 3. However, for me the zt.exe is missing, can i fix this somehow?
It’s great to have found this game but I’m disapointed that parts of it are missing. Specifically I’ve noticed that while tanks and marine exhibits exist in the game still (at least in the tutorial), it’s impossible to actually place them as their tag button is missing. And if what I’m reading is to be believed, there appear to be other parts of the marine exhibits missing too, such as the biomes
