About Beach Life

In Virtual Resort: Spring Break, you've got the best job in the world -- you get to create a tropical playground for college kids to party in! The more fun they have, the more fun you have! It’s time to slather on the suntan lotion, slip on your flip-flops, and head down to the beach for an epic spring break party! From feverish flings to sloshed scuffles to savage shark attacks, you’re in charge of creating a tropical playground teeming with coeds, clubs, cabanas and more. Build the ultimate tropical paradise on 12 unique islands using over 50 different structures from bungalows, nightclubs and hot tubs to souvenir shops, casinos and water parks. Live vicariously through your island vacationers enjoying such entertaining events as wet t-shirt contests, DJ gigs, talent competitions and party cruises. Burst out laughing at your partying guests’ hilarious antics such as dirty dancing, raging romances, drunken brawls and much more… Create the most sought-after tropical getaway by skillfully fulfilling the demands of your sun-seeking guests, each with individual needs and desires. Expertly manage a full staff including resort reps, lifeguards, security personnel, construction workers and more. Party to the cool beats of Spring Break’s soundtrack or create your own using the in-game MP3 player. Quench your voyeuristic thirst by tracking your islanders with the aid of a built-in camera with zoom lens. Take photos of your favorite vacation moments to print or email to friends.

What you need is to resize your desktop by changing its native resolution, as the game is written to the old resolution standards.

If you want to install game under linux (for example on Steam Deck using Proton) but it fails on setup, you need to mount iso file like this:
    sudo mkdir /mnt/ISO
    sudo mount -o loop “Beach Life.iso” /mnt/ISO
    Then setup will work.

Once you download the game, use the tool posted by someone (back in march 2023). Once the game runs, you will see that it has a serious frame rate issue. Download the most recent version of dgvoodoo2 at https://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/. Copy the files DDRAW.DLL and D3DImm.dll from the \MS\x86\ folder Ato the game install directory. Once all that is done the game should work properly!

Hey, was unable to install no matter what I tried, it won’t let me get past the “select program folder” no matter what I typed/selected.
