   Thomas is a MVP! my wife wanted to play this game again and the english files were perfect! for those of you having issues make sure after you download and install the game you also get Thomas’s Google drive files for the English text.
   Step 1: Install the game from the zip foulder “CSI_Dark_Motives_Win_Setup_EN”
   Step 2: Open “Game Files” and luanch “Setup”
   Step 3: Settup (Its gonna be in vietnamese) Select “Aaeaa” (Next) then select “Aaeaa” again, and once more select “Aaeaa”, Lastly select “Onoaiiaeou” (Install)
   Step 4: Open the game files by opening your file explorer select “This PC” , “C:”, CSI Dark Instentions foulder.
   Step 5: Now copy the files one at a time from Thomas’s google drive and paste them into each case file under “Data” and replace the original one in each foulder.
   Step 5: Once you replace each Case data file you can now open the game and the text will be in English and enjoy!

   Note: The subtitles are still russian but meh. at least everything els will be in english. Thanks Thamas! and Sawyers!!!

   I followed all the advice below, but my issue is that it won’t detect my keyboard input so I can’t start the game as it requires me to enter a name first. Any advice?

   So, the best way to play this game is using windows 98 compability, and using thomas fix for the lenguage (the one in this comments), but if you are using subtitles the game will still be in russian so I made a google drive with the subtitles in english

   Sometimes my screen bug out and did show anything, getting out and reopening the game fix it.

    Just found an original bug from the games release. There are problems with the language files for the game. Which are that some of the cases are half in another language and it’s very frustrating. I found a web forum that explains how to fix the problem. You will have to go down about half way to get the modern fix. It requires you to download from a google drive a set of new language files and replace the language files for each case. It was really easy and simple.
