About Axis & Allies

Axis & Allies is a real-time strategy World War II video game developed by TimeGate Studios and published by Atari for Microsoft Windows. The game was released on November 2, 2004. It is based on the board game series Axis & Allies from Milton Bradley and also on TimeGate's Kohan series. Set in the years after Japan and the United States entered into the war, the game allows the player to act as a World War II commander to build military forces to fight against other generals, using military units and technologies from the war. The player is able to alter the history of World War II.

    How to play on Windows

    1. Download the "Axis_and_Allies_2004_Preinstalled_Win_EN.zip" file from the link above.
    2. Open the downloaded .zip file and extract the "Axis_and_Allies_2004_Preinstalled_Win_EN" folder to your desktop. You will need to use a software such as WinRAR to do this.
    3. Open the extracted "Axis_and_Allies_2004_Preinstalled_Win_EN" folder and then open the "Game Files" folder.
    4. Double click on the file called "AA.exe" and your game should now launch. When you first launch, they will ask you to insert a CD-key. Simply copy-paste the following key: B2WS-6JGH-PV7G-PBKP

    Hey when I play the game and move the mouse the game will freeze until i stop moving my mouse. Im on windows 10 btw

      Use the “preinstalled” version and use the CD key provided. I tried downloading the larger file and can’t extract either, but the smaller “preinstalled” one works okay.

    Upon launching in windows 10, it seems to crash when it reaches the “initializing networking” step at the start. Anyone know of any fixes for this?

    I cant seem to change the font size in the game, it does not fit within the boxes. tried every resolution still haven’t been able to fix. what else can i do?

      Have you found a fix for this? I’m having the same problem. It ran correctly once, after my computer applied some compatibility settings after the first run, but it hasn’t done it again and I haven’t been able to replicate it with anything I’ve tried. I got close by going to properties compatibility change high DPI settings and clicking, “override high DPI scaling behavior by the system.” This fixed the text size, but for some reason I could no longer click on anything in the game.

    Hey there,

    First of all, thank you so much for making this game available. I had a lot of fun playing it growing up and I’m happy that I can do so again.

    I’m having an issue where the graphics are set to low-res even after I try to update them in the options menu. Is this something I can fix with this version? Thanks.

    hi i downloaded the game but i have this error

    I downloaded and extracted multiple times but after running AA.exe it crashes and says “ERROR: String ‘error_missing_string’ not found in string table”
