Freelancer is a space trading and combat simulation video game developed by Digital Anvil and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It is a chronological sequel to Digital Anvil’s Starlancer, a combat flight simulator released in 2000.

How to play on Windows

  1. Download and Extract Freelancer_Win_ISO_EN
  2. Open the “Game Files” folder and mount the .iso file. Run the game setup (autorun.exe) and select express install.
  3. When your game has installed you must restart your computer.
  4. Run the game as administrator using the game’s desktop shortcut.
  5. Enjoy!

    This is an unsuccessful copy of the game that doesnt include the copy-protection sectors in the iso! That is why when you try to run it on the recommended OS’es, it goes to start then says “Cant locate CD-Rom”! Unless your in Australia with a Full Version of Clone-CD that recognises Australian Right to Backup’s (Full Raw Copy – total CD Surface!), you wont be able to dupe this game. I used to have an original copy of it and used to get the same error with the “copy’s”!

    I installed freelancer as stated but and tried to run it as administrator but it kept saying run as administrator or could not find files there was about 6 any ideas ?

    i follow the instruction, after installation i restart first and click the desktop icon and runs it as administrator….i also mount the game to the virtual cd…but it said “cannot locate the CD ROM”

    how to fix this? thanks for the help
